New Life Awaits

So I went to the southern side of Luzon to learn, experience, discover and ponder on new and old things.

Right after daddy’s burial, I head to the Bicol Region specifically in the province of Albay to attend some important things for over a week. Before heading there, I wasnt really sure what lies ahead but one thing was certain; Ive got to learn something new out from an ordinary old.

There, I met new friends. There were 3 of us who attended the training/seminar/orientation in Albay. Lucky us! We were all bisaya; one from GenSan, other from Davao and me from Cebu, so it wasnt that hard dealing with each other especially in terms of communication.

What exactly did I do there???
Say, in my 23 years of existence I never really had the chance to make a routinized work at home. The likes of waking up early, doing some household chores like cleaning the bed, preparing breakfast and etcetera were never a thing to me. So, there! I had to experience it for a week in Albay.

Aside from that routinized work, I also had learn to appreciate the simple living they have there. Life there was very simple I must say and I must admit I enjoyed its simplicity. Waking up early and going to bed early is a thing I learned there too. Means of transportation in the whole province is way too far from bustling Cebu. In Albay, i had the chance to explore the province by jeep or tricycle. Transpo fees were also very cheap there. Going back to what else have I learned?

I learned a little of another country’s culture and language. I enjoyed soo much the orietation/seminar that I cant wait to experience it myself.
That….is another story to be told later on with my life!

From that little PATIKIM from another country’s culture and language comes the GALA time. But of course! I cant miss touring around the province and visiting exciting and historic places too.

So, I went to the historic Cagsawa ruins where a perfeft view of Mt. Mayon can be found. Sadly, when me and the girls went there; the clouds spoiled our excitement of seeing a perfect view of the mountain.

Devasted with what we had in Cagsawa, we went to Lignon Hill on one very early morning. Its another attraction in Albay. A trail to the tip of the hill brought us to the perfect view of Mt. Mayon.

I also got the chance to experience the night life of Albay. Magayon festival is there very festival that represents beauty in their native language. Going out at night, me and girls had the chance to shop, eat and enjoy Albay’s beauty at night.

Before heading back to reality or to Cebu rather, me and the girls also went to Embarcadero—-a famous attraction in Legazpi where seaside day&night comes to life.

Swimming ad Videoke session with the girls, highlighted my last stay in Albay.

PS:
Just a quick 180 turn around; before and after my Legazpi trip, I enjoyed “ME time” in busy Manila.

Ligñon Hill

day 5 in Albay

April 27, 2012. Around 5:30 in the morning, me and my girls decided to trail the Ligñon Hill in Daraga, Albay. Im not sure how long the trail is but what Im certain is it’s breath taking and the view is perfect. The trail going up is just easy for others but to me?? i have to think twice. hahaha

When we reached the final height, the view of Mt. Mayon wowed me and the girls. It was PERFECT. It was beautiful and it seemed like I was watching it in postcards but then again, it was REAL. The experience going up was really worth it; all those sweats swept away as I glanced the beauty of Mt. Mayon - one of the finest in the Philippines. As i kept watching the scenery and remembered how I went through going up, I said to myself ——with Mt. Mayon in my sight,  IT’S MORE FUN IN THE PHILLIPINES.

Ok. After packing my things for a week long of travel to Luzon, I decided to hit this chocolate hub near my place. With the sole intention to send an important docu thru an email, I used the free wifi the choco hub offered not withstanding whether or like I love what I ordered. Cutting this intro short, I finally got the chance to have my ME time in Tablea Chocolate Cafe in JY Mall.

The month of April has given me a whirlwind of emotional experience. From seeing dad suffered so much from his illness to his death that caused me cut some breaths to finally deciding to lose my job and lastly to giving me a getaway in Luzon that will determine my future. What a ride, is it?? The month has not even ended.

This few moment spending time alone is such a help of breath…to finally let loose abit and ponder on what will happen to me a few hours from now. Yes! Few hours from now will bring me to Manila…4:10am to be exact and I’ll fly to Luzon.

Guess i wont sleep now! After i get back home, i’ll wash up and head to the airport…

Wishin myself a BIG luck! :-)

visita iglesia 2012

The crystalized light brought by the quarter moon last April 5,2012 set the mood for familia remoroza’s annual visita iglesia. With 10 of our fmaily members, we set foot to 4 different churches in the neighboring towns and city.

Our journey headed first to the farthest church in our list, St. Catherine of Alexandria in Carcar City. We offered our prayers and thanksgiving to our dear Lord in their altar of repose located near the church.

After there, our journey went to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Brgy. Ocaña, Carcar City where we did the same prayer and thanksgiving.

3rd stop of our journey was in Ñuestra Sñr del Pilar in Sibonga, Cebu and the last stop for the night was in St. Michael de ARchangel Parish in our very own, ARgao CEbu.

Visita Iglesia is my family’s annual acitivity. Its the time to reflect; say our prayers and thanksgiving together as a family!

Ever since I was a kid I’ve always been told to marry a foreigner. For whatever it will bring, the financial security was the main reason why they’ve urged me to marry so. Growing up, the idea was left somewhere in my brain but was never really entertained much since there are more to do with life than just plain planning ahead for my future.

God has been very good to me for giving me such a beautiful life to live and love. My family are helpful and supportive. My friends are real and true. My career is going well. My life is great, just as what i thought it would be.

I’ve had a number of experiences dealing with opposite sex; from plain fubus to flings and few serious relationships and the best part there was being able to express myself greatly without apprehensions or anything else.

The idea of marriage was first brought to my senses by my white ex who has the courage to express his intentions beyond all uncertainties. But the idea faded in time.

Life continues to roll and I eventually forgot the presence of such stunning word. Not until 2012 came where a number of my friends/collegues/acquiantaces decided to tie the knot and jump into a whole new world which I’ve long forgotten and wouldn’t like to be remembered.

At 23 I asked myself; will I ever experience it? Given the fact that I have a very big and idealistic perspective of marriage/wedding. Back in my mind, the answer is NO. ;-(

So what exactly do I want?
* for wedding: i want it to be simple yet grandeur (a perfect proposal, presentation, preparation and execution)
*for marriage: I wanted fairytales to come true. To marry a man who’ll make me a proud princess and be the prince, I need and want.

Now, I guess I have to wait another lifetime just to get what I want. But just like any kid, I still hope fairytales do come true and my fairy Godmother will help me achieve what I wAnt.

“I DO” will definetly come in time. Maybe not now, not sooner but in time; it will.

the day i’ll say: I DO

Bida’s 24th

Bida is my mom in my friends’ circle of gays called SFZ..its been 3 years now that we celebrate her birthday by surprising her on the eve of April 3. With her bf charlie as main suspect, i and ses lalaii became the sabotage. Since sessy couldnt make it for the preparation; i bought the cake & palabok from red ribbon, ordered balloon and other party needs from hannahs and met up friends and sessy in ayala to finalize everything. We went to Bida’s place and laid down everything for the big surprise. Lucky us! She was really surprised..the night ended with alot of good laughs from the crazy people i call FRIENDS. ;-)

Cebu Hilltop Hotel

At 9 in the evening, I decided to spend the night somewhere else. I called some cheap and nice hotels in the metro for sure bookings and ended up devasted because most of them were occupied already. Still decided to look for other hotels and so I ended up in a hotel near my place.

hahaha <funny> i had to pay for a night where its only few kilometers away from mine.

Needless to say, Im still HAPPY with my decision.

So, what exactly did i do with my short stay?

*read a book
*watched ETC
*watched Gossip Girl 5 in my lappy
*eat haha

Did i spend the night with someone?
*YES! Sissy TARA was lucky she lives with me because then she gets to enjoy the luxury of having a spontaneous/weird sister like ME. hahaha

I write but not profound. I read but not like a geek. Somewhere in between, I know I found my happy place.  Its the comfort of being alone with your own imagination and escaping from hurtful reality that makes me read and write. :-)

We are SISTERS BY BIRTH. We came from the same mom and we have the same pop. We lived in one roof for all our lives. We shared a lot of things when we were younger…from food, clothing, toys, etc. almost everything we have had!
Being the eldest of the family, I used to think that they (my younger sisters)  were a burden to the family. Back in the day when I dont get what I want, I always blame their existence because I have to share them my toys, my foods and some of my clothing. I remembered how I sacrificed some luxuries because they have important needs than I have. In the same way, some things in their lives are altered or restricted because of my presence or because of me and so I became a hassle to them.

Now that I/we realized more about love and life, We become SISTERS BY CHOICE. We may live in the same place, eat the same kind, play the same things; but we do that because we are one and we enjoy being together. Its not that we are ought to live or do things together but we just made that choice…We made that bond because we are a FAMILY BY HEART.
